Before gyms. Before machines. Before fitness became a trend.

In 1959, in the heart of Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, a wrestler known as Late Mr. Babu Pehelwan began something that would become far greater than an akhada.
He built a place where strength was not simply measured by how much you could lift, but by the discipline you carried, the character you built, and the respect you earned.
The akhada was his world.
Day after day, generations stepped onto its soil to train, struggle, learn and grow. Traditional Indian strength training was not a trend or a workout routine—it was a way of life. And at the centre of it all was the belief that a strong body is built through a stronger mind.
His journey became our foundation.
Today, Babu Pehelwan is no longer with us. He rests in peace, but what he built did not end with him.
It lives on through his family, his students, the generations he inspired, and the values he left behind.
Akhada Club is our way of carrying that legacy forward.
We take inspiration from the equipment, traditions and training culture that have been part of Indian akhadas for generations and bring them into the modern home.
Our Mudgals, Mudgars and traditional training equipment are not designed simply to occupy a corner of your home gym.
They represent something deeper.
Discipline.
Strength.
Heritage.
Perseverance.
And above all, a connection to a tradition that existed long before modern gyms, machines and fitness trends.
From Muzaffarnagar to a new generation.
What began in 1959 in a small corner of Uttar Pradesh continues today through us.
The world of fitness has changed. The equipment has changed. The way people train has changed.
But the fundamental pursuit has remained the same:
To become stronger than you were yesterday.
That is the spirit we want Akhada Club to bring into every home.
Every piece we create is a tribute to the old akhadas and to the men who dedicated their lives to building strength the traditional way.
We are not trying to recreate the past.
We are carrying it forward.
Because some legacies deserve more than to be remembered.
They deserve to be lived.
AKHADA CLUB
Born from tradition.
Built for the next generation.
